Katie Duck Workshop towards Performances
For Dancers, Musicians, Actors, Singers and Performance Artists
Freakatoni Witchy Weekends was invented in Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 2009 as a platform for artists and publics looking for a space to celebrate experimental, multidisciplinary art at it’s finest.
Following an exciting week in 2016 at the Centro de las Artes – Tijuana, Freakatoni Witchy Weekends will be returning to Mexico, this time, in Rosarito.
The week includes a workshop by Katie Duck (Music Theatre) and a rehearsal schedule Monday to Friday. The five day process leads towards Freakatoni Witchy Weekend performances with a special performance by Mala Forma on the Friday and pieces developed by participants on the Saturday and Sunday.
The workshop takes place in the first three hours of each day followed by a Rehearsal process where participants create pieces in groups with tutorials and artistic advisers Katie, Melissa Cisneros ( La Mecedora) and Justin Morrison (Mala Forma).
We accept participants from all backgrounds, ages, nationalities, orientations and experiences who have a curiosity for interdisciplinary art practices, collaboration and composition in the context of real time performance.
